Follow-Up Support: I offer email support for 1 week. Further visits or phone consults may be required and these will incur a fee. I will provide personalised support and guidance to help you have a positive and successful breastfeeding experience.

Intake and Assessment

Prior to your consultation I will ask you to fill in an intake form so I can gather all the information I need before my visit.

The consultation begins with an in-depth discussion of your breastfeeding history, concerns, and goals. It’s a chance for me to get familiar with you, your bub and your unique situation.

Consult may include the following:

  • Milk Supply Evaluation (over / under supply concerns)

Understanding Your Body: Pregnancy brings incredible changes to your body. We’ll explore how these changes prepare you for breastfeeding and discuss any specific considerations based on your health and well-being.

Developing a Breastfeeding Plan: Every breastfeeding journey is unique. Maybe you have had a previous experience with breastfeeding you would like to discuss and address early on. We’ll work on developing a personalised breastfeeding plan that aligns with your lifestyle, ensuring a smooth transition into the world of breastfeeding.

    Guidance for Partners: Partners play a crucial role in the breastfeeding journey. I’ll provide guidance on how partners can support and actively participate, fostering a strong bond within your growing family.

    Unfortunately Lactation Consults are not covered by Medicare (yet) but many health funds do offer a rebate, you’ll need to check with your fund.
